The season appeared bleak for the Milwaukee Brewers in March-April when they started 0-4 and then went 25-28 by May. Things looked desperate for them and they even got called out by manager Pat Murphy for losing their edge in games.

Christian Yelich as leader was tasked to set his team’s mind straight and he delivered.
What was it that he said to the team in those meetings?
“I think I said it was going to be all right,” he said after their team’s latest win which was against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates.
Although the media and the fans thought there was some conflict in the locker room, Yelich looked back and clarified that there was nothing special about those meetings.

“It’s all part of the baseball season,” he told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.
“You never know what you’re gonna see. Back in spring training, there’ really gonna be really bad moments, there’s gonna be some bright moments.”
Milwaukee Brewers should be ready for tough stretch
Yelich is also keeping his mind and heart in the right place, anticipating games where results won’t go their way.
“We’ll probably have some tough stretches as we finish out the year. Maybe not. But that’s part of the game,” he said.
“Some baseballs are really hard game.”

Right now, it seems Brewers just can’t lose. They are now on a 10-game winning streak, the second time this season that they were able to achieve that feat. Only 10 teams in MLB history were able to do have two double-digit winning streak in a season.
The team sit atop the MLB standings with a 74-44 record, five games above Philadelphia Phillies who won the second best record.
