The Milwaukee Brewers did not need a comeback this time as they manhandled the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-1, to get their 10th straight win.
Different names came up big for Pat Murphy as the team took care of business against the visiting NL Central rivals.

Second baseman Brice Turang started things off by hitting a lead leadoff home run in the first inning and then Christian Yelich, Caleb Durbin, and recently minted NL Player of the Week Isaac Collins made things more comfortable by recording their own runs.
Andrew Vaughn, Sal Frelick, and Brandon Lockridge all had one run each while every starter reached bases.
The win allowed them to reach a feat that only 10 teams in MLB history have reached – two double-digit game winning streak in one season. The last one to do this was the Houston Astros in 2019 who reached the World Series on that year.

Other teams who were able to record two double digit winning streaks in a single season are
2017 Los Angeles Dodgers, 2015 Toronto Blue Jays, 2013 Atlanta Braves, 2001 St. Louis Cardinals, 1978 Pirates, 1977 Kansas City Royals, 1969 New York Mets, and 1969 Astros.
Christian Yelich reacts t oMilwaukee Brewers’ current streak
Fans and analysts are glossing over this Brewers streak, saying this team is special.
Team leader Yelich is keeping his eyes on the prize amidst the noise and celebrations. He said the team is focused on October where a bigger test awaits.
“Nobody cares about the streaks or what we’ve been on,” said Yelich who also recorded his 22nd homer in the season to extend his career high.

“I bet you most guys in here probably couldn’t even tell you. We have no idea. It’s just about today, because what happened tonight, what happened yesterday, the previous few days, it has no outcome on the future.”
