Senior players of the Marquette Golden Eagles have dedicated themselves to the program for multiple years and now, this commitment will soon reach its end. Stevie Mitchell will make sure they will go out pouring even more of themselves to the program.

Mitchell, along with Kam Jones and David Joplin, have been the team’s consistent stars. They are huge reasons why the team remain competitive, even trying their best not to miss games.
They formed an unbreakable bond that for Mitchell, he can’t imagine anyone of them leaving the team through transfer portal.
“We just have a tight bond with each other,” Mitchell said. “I couldn’t imagine telling Kam or Jop or CB that I’m going to another school and it’s the same way for them.

“I think when you have that it’s not a thought that crosses your mind. Obviously Kam, if he went in the (portal), he would have been the highest recruited guy. But there’s no price you can put on the bond that we have.”
Jones is the team’s leading scorer this season with 19.3 points per game, Joplin is second with 13.8.
Stevie Mitchell vows to give it all in the tourney
Marquette will face New Mexico Lobos in the first round of the NCAA tournament. There’s no room for error in this type of format.
Mitchell said they will make sure to make their last year memorable by giving it their all.
“We’ll get down into the nitty-gritty in terms of this could be our last time putting on a Marquette jersey when the game gets a little closer,” Mitchell said.

The team lost to St. John’s Red Storm in their Big East tourney. They hope to use such adversity to get better against the Lobos.
“Right now we’re just trying to figure out ways to grow from our last experience together, losing to St. John’s in the Garden.”
