The Wisconsin Badgers will be facing their arch-rivals, the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Friday night clash in college basketball. Tip-off for this contest will be at 6 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
This college basketball game will be televised on Peacock. Wisconsin has a 12-3 overall record this season and a 2-2 record in BIG10 Conference play. As for Minnesota, they have an 8-7 overall record and a 0-4 record in BIG10 Conference play this season.
Players To Watch For On the Wisconsin Badgers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers Ahead Of the Matchup
Greg Gard’s team last played on Monday night against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Three players scored in double figures for the Badgers. Steven Crowl scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and recorded three assists. John Blackwell led Wisconsin in scoring on Monday night with 21 points. He also grabbed four rebounds and recorded three assists.
John Tonje scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded two assists on Monday night against Rutgers. The Wisconsin Badgers can not afford to have a letdown game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night.
Ben Johnson is the head coach of the Golden Gophers. Minnesota last played on Monday against the Ohio State Buckeyes and it went to overtime. Four different players scored in double figures against the Buckeyes on Monday night. Parker Fox scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded one assist.
Lu’Cye Patterson scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded four assists. Mike Mitchell Jr. and Isaac Asuma each scored 18 points for the Golden Gophers against the Buckeyes. The Badgers defense will need to be on point against the Golden Gophers.

The Badgers need to get themselves over .500 in conference play. Losing to Minnesota would be a horrible loss toward Wisconsin’s 2025 NCAA Tournament resume. Wisconsin should have no excuses for getting the job done on Friday night.
