No Romeo Doubs, no problem for the Green Bay Packers, at least that was the case for quarterback Jordan Love and Co. in a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving night at Lambeau Field.
In Doubs’ absence, emerging playmaker Jayden Reed climbed Love’s target hierarchy and proved that he’s plenty capable of being a difference-maker in the Packers’ passing game.
According to Pro Football Focus, Reed led all wide receivers in red-zone targets this weekend, logging four against the Dolphins on Thursday night.

Reed finished Thursday night with three catches for 24 yards and a season-high two touchdowns as a driving force behind the Packers’ 30-17 victory over Miami.
Against the Dolphins, Reed showed off his game-altering speed and made it clear that even once Doubs is fully healthy — potentially as early as Thursday night against the Detroit Lions, that he is plenty capable of playing a key role in Green Bay’s aerial attack.
So far this season, Reed has caught 44 passes for 693 yards and six touchdowns, as the Packers’ leading receiver. Reed’s success underscores the job the Packers have done surrounding Love with young, ascending, high-impact playmakers.
