The Green Bay Packers are looking to make a massive leap this offseason after a disappointing 2024 season.
Moves need to be made in order for them to become championship contenders, especially in a stacked NFC. Two names come to mind when discussing the future of the Packers.
The Next Great GB WR?
DK Metcalf requested a trade from the Seahawks today, and he’s the perfect target for Jordan Love.

Metcalf is a two-time Pro Bowl player, and has posted three 1,000+ yard seasons throughout his career.
Green Bay has had inconsistent play from their wideouts in the last two seasons, and on top of that, no true veteran presence.
Who Would Go?
Romeo Doubs will be the name to watch for on the trade block. If the Packers are able to keep him though, that’s a deep wide receiver room that Jordan Love would appreciate.
Christian Watson is loved by the Green Bay fanbase, but he has declined in play and has been getting injured as of late. He could be another option to get dealt in a trade for DK.
A Monster On Defense
The second name that has been wreaking havoc on the league is the incredible Myles Garrett.

If the Packers can land the six-time All-Pro and Defensive Player of the Year, they will automatically become contenders and a big threat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Green Bay already has a top five caliber defense, and the addition of Garrett would raise the bar even higher.
Draft picks will have to be in a package for the six-time Pro Bowl talent, and at least two first round picks will definitely be involved.
Garrett’s resume includes 102.5 sacks, 352 tackles, 20 forced fumbles and 17 pass deflections. He’s somebody the Packers need to attempt to sign, especially after the Raiders re-signed Maxx Crosby today.
What It Would Mean
Green Bay needs a DK Metcalf caliber receiver and a Myles Garrett type of guy on defense in order to chase the Lombardi.
These signings would mean everything to a young team wanting to redeem themselves from last season.
If they go an entire offseason without making any major moves, it will be very difficult for them to be in contention.
