The Green Bay Packers have several players entering free agency that, for better or worse, will not be returning in 2025. Additionally, they have other players under contract that, for various reasons, may not be returning either. Of course, the biggest name among these players is two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander. While the Packers themselves have made no public comments, statements Alexander made to the media himself seem to indicate that he is not coming back next season.
Another player whose future is uncertain, at least in Green Bay, is center Josh Myers. He has been the Packers starting center since 2021, but has not done enough or improved enough to make getting a second contract from Green Bay a guarantee.
The Green Bay Packers May Part Ways with Center Josh Myers

Last season, the Packers made a pretty significant change on offense. They signed Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs and released their third all-time leading rush Aaron Jones. With a younger and more physical back as their starter, the offense became more of a run-first system than the pass-first system fans had become accustomed to watching.
And while Jacobs was phenomenal, racking up 1,329 rushing yards on 301 attempts (and scoring 15 touchdowns), he did so in spite of running behind one of the worst run-blocking offensive lines in the NFL.
Myers, for instance, was given 52.2 run blocking grade by PFF, which ranked 54th out of 64 centers in the league. Unfortunately, he was not much better as a pass blocker, registering a 63.4 PFF grade, which ranked just 37th.
As the former 2021 second round draft pick hits free agency this offseason, many believe that he will not be back due to the team needing a better overall blocker at center.
The Green Bay Packers Could Sign Indianapolis Colts Center Ryan Kelly

The Packers are known for drafting a developing their offensive linemen. However, should they want a more immediate upgrade at center, they could look into signing Indianapolis Colts star Ryan Kelly, who is a four time Pro Bowler. Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report believes this would be a wise move by Green Bay:
“The Packers could offer four-time Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly a lucrative contract. He would be a significant upgrade over Myers, providing strong interior pass protection and clearing lanes for the ground game.”
Kelly is marginally better as a run blocker, per PFF, with a 64 run blocking grade. However, he is an immensely better pass blocker, with a 71.9 grade, which ranked 12th among centers.
He sure could make life a little easier on Jordan Love.
