Nate Hobbs Comments on Joining the Green Bay Packers – “Ready to Get to Work”
Nate Hobbs, a strong slot cornerback for the Las Vegas Raiders, is on his way to join the Green Bay Packers. Hobbs was signed to a 4-year, 48-million-dollar deal.

NFL Insider Josina Anderson spoke with Hobbs on the phone following the signing and revealed what Hobbs had to say about joining the Green Bay Packers.
“I’m ecstatic. It has not sunk in yet. I’m still dumbfounded by the opportunity, and I am ready to get to work. Being with the Raiders in that division and facing those quarterbacks, I feel like I’m ready for anything and I am going in with a lot of confidence. It prepared me for this.”
Hobbs is of course talking about some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, including Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert.
A versatile corner who is usually employed in the slot position, Hobbs also has experience covering on the outside. Additionally, Hobbs is a strong run defender, ranking 6th among all corners in Pro Football Focus’ run-stopping grades and 7th in total run stops. His aggression in the run game is complimented by his strong ability to play the ball in coverage.
Hobbs will join talents such as Xavier McKinney, Evan Williams, and, for the time being, Jaire Alexander, in the Packers defensive secondary.

Green Bay Packers Fans Hyped for Nate Hobbs Addition
Green Bay Packers fans are excited by the Nate Hobbs signing and are eager for the new corner to arrive in Wisconsin. While some fans were hugely disappointed by the lack of activity early, where many of the market’s top defensive backs were signed elsewhere, Hobbs seems like more than a sufficient consolation prize.
NATE HOBBS Packers Nation, you want a DOG at corner… WE GOT ONE! #GoPackGo
Nate Hobbs is good man. Play him wherever.

Good player!
Wasn’t expecting them to add a slot.
#Raiders CB Nate Hobbs reunites with Josh Jacobs in Green Bay on 4-year, $48M deal. Hobbs finishes with 281 tackles, 14 for loss, 19 passes defended, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 INT over four seasons since being Las Vegas’ 5th-round pick in 2021.
Nate Hobbs, who turns 26 this summer, has played 808 snaps in the slot over the past two seasons for the Raiders. He’s assuredly going to compete with Javon Bullard for the starting nickelback job in Green Bay, but he has perimeter experience, too.
