The Green Bay Packers have a great deal of uncertainty at various positions on their roster heading into the offseason. One of these is at cornerback as two-time Pro Bowler Jaire Alexander recently told the media that he is not sure he will be back next year (and that he did not have anything good to say).
While Green Bay does have Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon, both of whom played well in 2024, the depth at the cornerback position is extremely concerning. Additionally, it appears that Javon Bullard, who was a safety selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, is more effective when used as a nickel corner.
This, of course, means that the Packers could be in the market for another safety to play behind Xavier McKinney and Evan Williams.
The Green Bay Packers Met with Louisville Defensive Back MJ Griffin
According to Easton Butler of Packer Report, the Packers were one of five teams that really stood out to Louisville defensive back MJ Griffin, who met with multiple NFL teams at the Tropical Bowl:
The Packers were 1 of 5 teams that stood out to Louisville DB MJ Griffin while at the #TropicalBowl. He reportedly met with most teams while there.

For those unaware, the Tropical Bowl is a college football All-Star game that allows prospects that are not projected to be drafted until the late rounds (if at all) to showcase their talents for NFL scouts.
Griffin is a six-foot-one 195-pound defensive back who has played safety both at Louisville and Temple. He did not play at all in 2023 due to a torn ACL.
In 2024, Griffin played in 13 games, registered 63 tackles, two tackles for loss, had 0.5 sacks, and two passes defended. He has two career interceptions, both of which came in 2022, his first year with Louisville.
