The Green Bay Packers will have the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. One of the biggest needs for the Packers this offseason will be a wide receiver.

They do not have a true number-one wide receiver for quarterback Jordan Love. Green Bay was in a better spot entering the start of last season, but no one emerged as a true number-one wide receiver. No one has gone over 1,000 yards receiving for the last two seasons.
Green Bay Packers Select Missouri Tigers Wide Receiver Luther Burden III In Latest CBS Sports Mock Draft

Mike Renner of CBS Sports created his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. With the 23rd overall pick, he has the Green Bay Packers selecting wide receiver Luther Burden III from the Missouri Tigers. Renner said,
“The Packers buck their trend eschewing first-round wide receivers for a unique talent in Luther Burden III. The injury concerns for Romeo Doubs (concussions) and Christian Watson (ACL) force their hand here. Burden is not only sure-handed, but also a playmaker with the ball in his hands. Green Bay could use both.”
Burden III is 5’11” and weighs 208 lbs. Last season with Missouri, he caught 61 passes for 676 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 11.1 yards per reception. In 2023 with the Tigers, he caught 86 passes for 1,212 yards, and nine touchdowns. He averaged 14.1 yards per reception.
Burden III would be a perfect number-one wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. If Green Bay selected Burden III, there is no doubt that he would be the most talented wide receiver on the team for quarterback Jordan Love to throw to also.
