We’re less than two weeks away from the return of NFL football, and the Green Bay Packers are gearing up for an explosive start to the season. They want to build on an impressive campaign last season that ended in a divisional-round loss to the San Francisco 49ers and make a deep run to the Super Bowl.
Jordan Love is at the center of everything good with the Packers right now. The 25-year-old field general is still far from his peak as a quarterback, but his impressive first season in Green Bay already has fans giddy over how his future will play out at Lambeau Field.
As their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles is fast approaching, questions begin to be asked out of Love and his teammates. Some even question whether he even has the right weapons around him.
However, Love decided to focus on something else by posing an interesting challenge to their Week 1 opponents.
Jordan Love thinks the Packers can beat the Philadelphia Eagles in their season-opening clash
In a recent interview, Love talked about the Packers’ upcoming game against the Eagles and their chances of winning their first game of the season.
He sounded confident with how he talked about his team, and the Eagles can easily see his statement as his take on throwing his gloves to the ground.
Per Athlon Sports’ Nick Faria:
“I like where we’re at offensively, and I think we’re ready to go, get the season started,” Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love said. “I feel like as a team, as a whole, we’re definitely ready. It’s been a great training camp. Definitely got better every day…I think we’re definitely ready for Week 1.”
It’s not hard to see why Love would feel so confident with his team. He finished the 2023 season with 4159 passing yards, 32 passing TDs, and 11 interceptions while completing 64.2% of his passes. It’s not unreasonable to see him replicate these numbers as the team managed to keep a majority of last year’s squad over the offseason.
