There is no denying that running back Josh Jacobs is an important piece of the Green Bay Packers attack in the 2024 NFL season. Jacobs, who was signed by the Packers to a four-year, $48 million last March, has consistently produced meaningful numbers for Green Bay. In fact, he has reached a territory no Packer had been to, statistically speaking, since the days of Eddie Lacy.

Via@ZebraSports: Josh Jacobs’ 5th straight game with 100+ scrimmage yards in the Packers’ win over Miami is the longest such streak by a Packers player since Eddie Lacy in 2014 and is tied with ATL’s Bijan Robinson for the longest streak in 2024.
Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs is on a hot streak going into Week 14
The former Alabama Crimson Tide star running back extended the streak to five games with a solid performance during last Thursday’s Thanksgiving 30-17 win at Lambeau Field over the Miami Dolphins in which he had 43 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries to go with 74 receiving yards on four receptions and four targets.
Jacobs still has a long way to go to tie Lacy’s feat 10 seasons ago. Lacy, who is also an Alabama football product, had nine such games in a row in 2014. The Packers have five more games left in the 2024 regular season, including a crucial showdown this coming Thursday against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
So far in Jacobs’ first season with Green Bay, he has accumulated 987 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 221 carries to go with 260 receiving yards and a touchdown on 27 catches and 34 targets.
