Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Jordan Morgan was moved from left tackle to right guard in training camp. It has helped the Packers’ versatility on the offensive line in training camp entering the 2024 season. According to head coach Matt LaFleur, Morgan will be out a week or “so” with a shoulder injury.
He suffered the injury on Tuesday in training camp. The plan for the Packers was for the starters to play against the Cleveland Browns in preseason on Saturday, but Morgan will be sidelined.
This is not the first injury that the Green Bay Packers have suffered on the offensive line this summer. Zach Tom is slowly coming back from his pectoral injury and will also not play against Cleveland on Saturday.
Green Bay Packers’ Sean Rhyan Will Go Back To Right Guard In the Meantime Over Jordan Morgan
To start training camp for the Packers, Morgan was competing with Rasheed Walker for the left tackle spot. Green Bay’s coaching staff decided to move Jordan Morgan to right guard to replace Sean Rhyan. For now, Rhyan will take back the right guard spot and will see if his injury will be longer than a week.
Jordan Morgan was the 25th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Arizona. Morgan being injured will not be good for his development over the next week or so in training camp. The entire right side of the offensive line is dealing with injuries.
The injury bug is affecting the Packers once again. It was an issue for them in 2023 also.

Ok. Could have been worse. Not optimal for him to miss time but I was holding my breath.

Sucks we likely won’t get to see him in preseason

The good news is that this injury was not worse. Hopefully, Jordan Morgan can be back on the field sooner rather than later.
