Spring training is several weeks away and the 2025 MLB season is still months from commencing, so it’s just a perfect time for Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell to enjoy some good time during the offseason. In a post on Instagram Garrett’s wife, Haley Cruse shared the couple’s getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“Finally executed a trip without forgetting our passports,” Cruse wrote as caption for the post that also featured a couple of photos showing the two together during their vacation.

Milwaukee Brewers’ Garrett Mitchell and wife Haley Cruse

Mitchell and Crus started seeing each other in 2020, according to Paige Strout of US Magazine. That was two years before Garrett made his debut in the big leagues with the Brewers in 2022. Garrett was also taken in the MLB draft by the Brewers in 2020, which Cruse celebrated as well.
“MY BOY IS A BREWER!!!! @GarretMitchell5 there is no one more deserving! Keep proving them wrong, I am so proud of you 💙,” Cruse posted on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter).
Mitchell, who signed a one-year contract worth $744,300 million with the Brewers last March and is in first year of arbitration eligibility, hit .255/.342/.469 with eight home runs and 21 RBIs along with 11 stolen bases through 69 games for Milwaukee in the 2023 MLB campaign.

Mitchell is a key offensive component coming into 2025. That he was kept out of the lineup the final game of the playoffs after winning the game the night before is one of the few stains on Murphy’s much deserved manager of the year award…He was one of the best September bats as well as one of the few that hit left handers batting from the left side. He also plays strong defense with a better arm than others..Use Perkins (who has good trade value) to help bring in a quality 3B.
