Zach Tom is $88 million richer after signing a four-year extension with the Green Bay Packers that drafted him in 2022. Both fans and teammates see this extension coming from a mile away.

Jordan Love is among those who are happy for the offensive tackle, highlighting how the Wake Forest standout persevered to climb his way to the top and that new deal.
“It’s awesome,” the quarterback told reporters on Wednesday when asked about Tom’s extension.
“I’m very happy for him. I think he’s very deserving of that. He’s been a guy who’s balled out since he got here. Really came in, made a name for himself at that right tackle position and, like I said, just balled. He’s a guy that’s very humble, keeps his head down, he just comes in ready to work, always about the right stuff. There’s no one more deserving so I’m happy for him.”

Tom came to the league in 2022 after playing four seasons with Wake Forest. He had his best year in 2024, becoming a candidate for the All-Pro team.
Zach Tom’s gets baptized with new nickname
Love is not the only one celebrating Tom’s extension. It’s the whole squad and the coaches.
Head coach Matt LaFleur hailed the extension while general manager Brian Gutekunst thought it was important that they were able to get his contract dilemma out of the way.
As for his teammates, they celebrated it by giving him a new nickname.

“It was good. They were all supportive,” he said. “A lot of ‘What up, Big Money?’ (and) all that. They were all hyped up, pumped up, so that was exciting to see they’re excited to see me get paid. Because sometimes that can lead to some jealously and stuff. They were all excited.
“Now it’s just time to get back to work and just be out there. I’m not going to change who I am. I’m still going to go out there and give it my all.”
