Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is preparing to get himself back onto the football this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings. He has missed the last two games with a sprained MCL. Malik Willis has started for Love and has looked decent in those games.
The fact that the Packers won both games without Love goes to show how important Matt LaFleur’s coaching has been. Green Bay is looking to end the Minnesota Vikings undefeated season.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Makes Phenomenal Take About Brett Favre’s Recent Parkinson’s Diagnosis
One of the biggest stories in the football world was when Brett Favre announced on Tuesday that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at 54 years old. Love spoke to the media on Wednesday after practice about his diagnosis. He told Ryan Wood:
“We know the risks as players. We know what we signed up for.”
There are a lot of people who think Favre got Parkinson’s because of the amount of hits he took to the head. Some even wonder if Brett Favre also has CTE issues.
Packers Franchise Quarterbacks
Along with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, it appears as if the former Utah State Aggies quarterback is the next great Green Bay franchise quarterback. It is one of the reasons why he received a contract extension this offseason. Hopefully, the knee injury is the only injury Love will have to deal with this season and for the long term.
With the way the rules are in the NFL today, Love should be taking fewer hits to the head. He also has to be smart about running with the football when he takes off. Love has to slide when running and not risk the head injuries that Brett Favre had during his NFL career also.
