The Green Bay Packers could be very close to trading away Jaire Alexander. It appears that he could be traded at some point this offseason.

There is no doubt that some teams are in touch with the Packers about him. Some teams need help at cornerback, and they think they could get a good version of him. The issue with him is that he has missed several games over the last couple of years because of various injuries.
CBS Sports Writer Cony Benjamin Thinks That Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Could Be Traded To the Minnesota Vikings

CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin wrote about five potential destinations for Alexander to be traded to this offseason. One of the five teams that Benjamin mentioned for the Green Bay Packers cornerback was the Minnesota Vikings. Cody Benjamin said:
“Would the Packers prefer to deal their former star inside the NFC North? Probably not. But the Vikings have pulled this before, convincing the Detroit Lions to cough up T.J. Hockenson. And if Minnesota can’t retain some of its top free agents in the secondary, including No. 1 corner Byron Murphy Jr. and emergent safety Camryn Bynum, they could pivot to give coordinator Brian Flores an even higher-upside option.”
It would be hard to believe that the Green Bay Packers would want to trade Alexander to the Minnesota. Yes, it was strange when the Vikings traded for tight end T.J. Hockenson from the Detroit Lions, but Detroit was not good yet, and Minnesota was very good.
This is a different situation because the Vikings and the Packers are both good football teams and are looking to get better, but not by an Alexander trade. This past season, Alexander had 16 tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, one touchdown, and seven pass deflections. He is 28 years old and was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played for the Louisville Cardinals in college.
Other Destinations

It would be a shock to see the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers make a Jaire Alexander trade. There were four other destinations that Cody Benjamin gave for Alexander. The Jacksonville Jaguars, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Atlanta Falcons were the other teams mentioned for a potential Alexander deal.
The team that would make the most sense for Alexander is the Jaguars. A couple of Green Bay Packers defensive coaches left this offseason to join Liam Coen on his staff with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That would be ideal for Green Bay because Alexander is out of the division and out of the conference entirely.
