When the Green Bay Packers season ended back in January after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card game, cornerback Jaire Alexander refused to answer questions from the media. One of the reasons why he decided not to answer questions was because he was unsure of potentially returning to the team next year.

With free agency already underway, the Packers’ rivals are making many moves. Green Bay has been quiet on the first day, and it will be interesting to see what other moves they make. Green Bay’s general manager Brian Gutekunst has received a lot of heat from this fanbase this offseason.
Latest Update On the Trade Rumors For Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander

Wm. Glasheen USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin
Many are wondering if and when the Packers are going to be trading Alexander this offseason. Well ESPN’s Rob Demovsky provided an update on the star cornerback. He mentioned that Gutekunst is not trading him “yet.”
He also mentioned that if Alexander is not traded by Green Bay, it remains to be seen if the team will outright release him or not. He has two years remaining on his contract. If the Packers were to release him, it would gain $6.8 million in cap space for 2025. Also, if it is a post June 1 cut, then it would open more than $17 million in cap room.
A season ago with the Packers, he recorded 16 tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, one touchdown, and seven pass deflections. He is 28 years old. If he were to be released and not traded, it would be interesting to see where Jaire Alexander would sign.
Signed Nate Hobbs On Monday

One of the ways the Packers are trying to overhaul the cornerback position is by signing free agents. They signed cornerback Nate Hobbs on Monday to a four-year deal worth $48 million. It remains to be seen if Hobbs will be a potential Jaire Alexander replacement or not.
This will not be the last move for the Packers at the cornerback position. For now, Alexander will not be traded, but they may not be able to find a trade partner and a release might be in play for both sides.
