The 9-4 Green Bay Packers are looking to bounce back from their 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions last Thursday when they take on the 8-5 Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. Green Bay will be fighting for their 10th win of the season and to maintain/improve their seeding in the NFL Playoffs. Seattle, meanwhile, is hoping to avoid falling out of first place in the NFC West following the Los Angeles Rams victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
Should the Packers defeat the Seahawks, Seattle and Los Angeles will have an identical 8-6 record with the Rams holding the tiebreaker because they won the two team’s only head-to-head matchup so far this year.
In other words, both teams have a lot to be playing for, and the Packers fortunately are getting several key players back from injury.
3 Green Bay Packers Starters Are Expected to Return from Injury vs the Seattle Seahawks
According to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, both wide receiver Romeo Doubs and rookie safety Evan Williams have cleared concussion protocol and will play on Sunday night.

Doubs originally suffered his concussion in Green Bay’s Week 12 win over the 49ers. He has not seen the field since.
According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Doubs told reporters today, “I’m feeling really good … look forward to just continuously putting my best foot forward.”
Williams was knocked out of Green Bay’s latest loss to Detroit with his own concussion. Fortunately, he was able to clear protocol quickly as Javon Bullard, his fellow rookie safety, has already been ruled out for Sunday.

In addition to Doubs and Williams, rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is expected to play against the Seahawks. It will be his first game since Week 11 against the Chicago Bears. Cooper injured his hamstring in practice leading up to the Packers’ matchup with the 49ers in Week 12.
The Green Bay Packers Will Be Without Jaire Alexander Again
Unfortunately for the Packers, two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander has already been ruled out for Sunday. He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but did not practice on Friday.
Matt LaFleur said Jaire Alexander will NOT play Sunday “just based on what I saw over the last couple days.” LaFleur said Alexander was not hitting the speeds needed to play effectively.

As Rob Demovsky of ESPN notes, LaFleur said that he did not want to put his star cornerback in a position where he could not finish a game, which is what happened when Alexander tried to come back from his torn PCL in Week 11 against the Bears.
Despite being able to practice, he could not reach the speeds that the team wanted him to before they committed to him playing.
With the Packers all but guaranteed a spot in the NFL Playoffs, the most important thing is to make sure Alexander is healthy and ready to go by the time the postseason rolls around.
