The Green Bay Packers defense has been forcing turnovers in the first two games of the 2024 NFL season. On Sunday, Jaire Alexander had a 35-yard pick-six against the Tennessee Titans in the first quarter and Green Bay led 17-7 after the first quarter.
The Packers won the game over the Titans 30-14. Along with Alexander, Xavier McKinney also had an interception on Will Levis in the game. Green Bay improves to 2-1 on the season and Tennessee drops to 0-3 on the year.
Green Bay Packers Fans Respond To the Jaire Alexander Pick Six
To no surprise, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis has been prone to making bad throws in the first couple of weeks of the NFL season. Tennessee has not been good because of Levis this season. Alexander jumped the route that DeAndre Hopkins was running. This is what Packers fans had to say about the pick six:
You cannot throw that pass in Jaire Alexander’s direction.
First career pick-six for No. 23 #Packers

one of you manifested a jaire alexander pick-six and i don’t remember who it was, but whoever you are, i love you and i owe you my life

That sound you hear is the idiots deleting their “Should the Packers trade Jaire Alexander?” tweets and articles right now. pic.twitter.com/5mtYG2KHiM

He has been very good for the Green Bay Packers to start the 2024 season in the secondary. Alexander is going to continue to make an impact in this secondary as long as he is healthy.
Team Already Has As Many Interceptions As a Season Ago
In the first three weeks of the 2024 season, Green Bay has already recorded seven total interceptions. They only had seven interceptions all of last season and Xavier McKinney has three of them. It also helps when Jaire Alexander is healthy for the Packers to be a better defensive team.
Forcing turnovers is going to go a long way for this football team. It isn’t a perfect defense, but this is a defense that has more potential than it did a season ago. With the pick-six Jaire Alexander had on Sunday, many wonder if it is the writing on the wall already for Titans quarterback Will Levis.
