When the Green Bay Packers were cleaning out their lockers at the end of the season, Jaire Alexander had his reasons for not speaking with the media. Alexander has been with the franchise since the 2018 season.

Over the last two seasons, he has not been as serviceable as he used to be. Alexander being injured did not help things out for this football team. There is a chance that both parties could move on from each other this offseason.
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky Reports That the Green Bay Packers and Jaire Alexander are Expected To Part Ways With Each Other

Rob Demovsky of ESPN wrote about which Green Bay Packers players will stick around next season and which ones they will move on from. One player he wrote about was the former Louisville Cardinals cornerback.
Many are wondering what the Packers will do with him this offseason. Demovsky said:
“There are strong indications that Alexander’s time with the Packers will end without him playing another down. Multiple team sources have privately expressed their frustration with Alexander’s inability to stay healthy and/or play through injuries.
For the second straight season, Alexander appeared in seven of 17 regular-season games. He did not play after Nov. 17 — despite practicing on a semi-regular basis — went on injured reserve the final week of the season and underwent knee surgery on what he said was a torn PCL. Still, he finished second on the team in pass breakups (seven) and tied for second in interceptions (two).
The 2018 first-round pick has two years remaining on the four-year, $84 million contract extension that made him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL at the time. The Packers would pick up nearly $6.8 million in salary cap space for 2025 if they release him (or more than $17 million if they designate him a post-June 1 cut).
Publicly, Gutekunst was noncommittal about Alexander’s future shortly after the season.”
With the Green Bay Packers planning to move on from Jaire Alexander this offseason, they will be looking to upgrade the position either in the NFL Draft or in free agency. There is a chance that Green Bay could also use the trade market to get a cornerback.
Eric Stokes will also not be brought back for the Packers at the cornerback position. This will be a position next year that will have new faces.
Potential Destinations

It will be interesting to see if the Packers decide to release or trade Jaire Alexander. If they were to release him, there would be some teams interested in him. The New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Detroit Lions could be some of the teams who would be interested in signing him.
The Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Cincinnati Bengals could be some other teams in the AFC who could be interested in the star cornerback. Moving on from Alexander will be the right move for this franchise.
