The Green Bay Packers have given former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh some sort of a football haven.
In the lead-up to Thursday’s game between the Packers and the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, Saleh got some attention when he was seen on the sidelines apparently trying to help Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur plan against Dan Campbell’s team.
Even though the Packers ended up losing to Detroit via a 34-31 score, Green Bay still has a good-looking record of 4-1 since Saleh was brought on as a team consultant.
Green Bay Packers’ record since Robert Saleh joined team triggers reactions
Andy Herman of “Pack-A-Day” reminded everyone of the Packers’ record since Saleh joined Green Bay while also juxtaposing it with the Jets’ downward spiral.

Of course, that garnered quite a lot of reactions from fans online:
“Guarantee you Robert Saleah had nothing to do with those wins. Packers were a great team with young talented bulls before RS got there. I hate this narrative that he’s changing the packers win loss ratio when he is 0/3 in playoffs as a head coach for last 3 seasons.”
“It’s a difference in cooking the groceries and recommending what we should cook”
“Consultant and head coach aren’t anywhere near the same pressure and responsibilities, but I get what u mean tho”
“Turnd Matt into creative RUN the ball first, Matt. I love me some Saleh lol.”
“I bet nothing feels better than being around great football and your best-friend after the Jets situation. Both guys look very happy.”
At 9-4, the Packers seem unlikely to catch the 12-win Lions atop the NFC North division. Still, Green Bay can further strengthen their chances for a higher playoff seed by taking care of business in the coming few weeks. They have four more games left on their 2024 NFL season schedule, including a Week 15 date with the Seattle Seahawks on the road.
