Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has been known for taking major risks throughout his NFL career with the football. Favre has made some spectacular plays with the football and there have been some times where he made some boneheaded decisions.
In the 2007 NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants, Brett Favre threw a bad interception to Corey Webster and they lost the game in overtime. There have been many crazy interceptions in playoff games over the years.
Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre Trends On Twitter After Penn State Nittany Lions Quarterback Drew Allar Throws 4th Quarter Interception
During the college football playoffs on Thursday night between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Penn State Nittany Lions, the game was tied at 24 with less than a minute to go in regulation. Penn State had the ball and quarterback Drew Allar threw a very bad interception, which eventually cost the Nittany Lions the game and the season.
Allar hurt his draft stock with the loss to the Fighting Irish (27-24). After Drew Allar threw the interception, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre started to trend on Twitter. This is what college football fans said about Favre on Thursday night:

Drew Allar is a solid QB but he did a Favre impression and cost Penn state

Drew Allar just became an UDFA and he won’t even declare for the NFL Draft until 2026

That Allar INT was just a remake of the famous Brett Favre Vikings interception

It is funny that a lot of college football fans were comparing this interception to the Brett Favre interception with the Minnesota Vikings. Both were bad, but the Favre interception against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game for Minnesota back in 2009 was worse.
Both Interceptions Were At High Stakes
Brett Favre for the Vikings was in field goal range when Minnesota was driving in the fourth quarter and then threw the interception against the Saints. New Orleans went on to win the game in overtime and eventually won the Super Bowl.
The difference with Drew Allar here was that Penn State had two timeouts and they were not in Notre Dame territory yet, but they were trying to go for the win in regulation and it backfired on them. Both quarterbacks deserved a ton of blame in those situations. No wonder why Favre was trending on Twitter on Thursday night after the Allar interception also.
