The Green Bay Packers have a great deal of work to do this offseason. Of course, the front office is busily scouting the college players that have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held in Green Bay. In relation to that, there are multiple positions on the Packers roster that need to be addressed, whether because of poor play from current players in 2024, players leaving in free agency, or whatever is going on with Jaire Alexander.
Obviously, there will be many new faces on the team next season, whether they be draft picks, undrafted rookies, or free agents signed away from other teams. Indeed, there are many individuals that will be available from other rosters, and fans have already identified which ones they would like the Packers to target (i.e. Tee Higgins).
However, there are also players currently on Green Bay’s roster that will be free agents soon, and the Packers would undoubtedly like some of them back.
Green Bay Packers Who Will Be Unrestricted Free Agents
While Green Bay has several players who are exclusive or restricted free agents, the following players will be free to sign with any NFL team:
- Eric Stokes
- AJ Dillon
- Corey Ballentine
- Josh Myers
- Eric Wilson
- Brandon McManus
- Andre Dillard
- Tyler Davis
- Robert Rochell
- TJ Slaton
- Isaiah McDuffie
Green Bay Packers Insider Reveals Which Unrestricted Free Agent Should Be Team’s Priority
According to Packers insider Mike Spofford, there are multiple in-house free agents that the Packers would like to bring back, but the one who should their priority is kicker Brandon McManus:
“Myers almost certainly would command the biggest contract, and I think Slaton could be difficult for the Packers to replace given how much the run defense improved. But to me the highest priority amongst the pending UFAs is Brandon McManus.”
After signing with Green Bay midseason, McManus mad 20 of 21 field goals (95.2%) and 100% of his extra points. Anders Carlson made the kicking game hard to watch in 2023 and Brayden Narveson was no better in the first half of 2024.
Now that they found a reliable kicker, the Packers likely do not want to let him go.
