This offseason, the Green Bay Packers may decide to trade cornerback Jaire Alexander. General Manager Brian Gutekunst will need to decide what is best for this team moving forward.
Alexander has missed several games over the last two seasons. The cornerback position might need a total overhaul in the offseason anyway. If Alexander is traded this offseason, there will be some suitors for him.
Bleacher Report Scouting Department Thinks That the Jacksonville Jaguars Should Trade For Green Bay Packers Jaire Alexander
The Bleacher Report Scouting Department created a trade list for each NFL this offseason. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, the hypothetical trade they would love to see is the Jaguars trading away the 88th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (third-round selection) to the Green Bay Packers for cornerback Jaire Alexander and a 2026 sixth-round pick.
A third-round pick for Alexander might be the market value, but it would be interesting to see what the asking price would be from general manager Brian Gutekunst. There is a chance that Green Bay may not trade him at all. The Bleacher Report Scouting Department said:
“There’s a decent amount of risk that comes with acquiring Alexander, but the Jags are in a position where they might need to take some risks. They have enough cap space to get aggressive, and they have to make up some ground on the Texans within the division. If Alexander can return to form this trade would be a bargain.
Campanile only spent one season in Green Bay, but he should have some insight into whether Alexander can return to form. That relationship could potentially push this deal over the edge and give them a starting corner duo of Alexander and Tyson Campbell next season.”
Alexander would be a good get for the Jaguars if he can stay healthy. Well, if a third-round pick is the best Green Bay could get for a player who has become injury-prone, then Gutekunst may have no choice but to take that offer also.
