Former Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon is keeping himself busy in the offseason with a side quest.
Dillon is running a show called “Toonen to Dillon Podcast” along with William Toonen. The show’s recent episode was a fun one, in part because of the guest: Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler.
Not a few have noticed the similarity between the running backs. Apart from playing the same position, they also appear lookalikes.
It was a subject of the show and was even used by Dillon to promote the episode.
“The amount of times I’ve gotten ‘What’s up Austin,’ my long lost twin @AustinEkeler joined us on the latest episode of @Toonentodillon!” wrote Dillon in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Ekeler asks former Green Bay Packers RB hilarious real-life question

Ekeler, who is entering his second season with the Commanders, asked Dillon on the show about instances where he got mixed up for someone else, which, in this case, is Ekeler.
“Do you ever have people come up to you and say, ‘Hey, are you Austin Ekeler?’ Asked Ekeler. “Because I have people come up to me like ‘Are you AJ Dillon?’ and I was like ‘Yeah. Let’s get a picture.’
“I always get that,” said Dillon, who signed a one-year, $1.33 million deal with the Eagles last March.
Dillon, who just turned 27 years old last May, played his first five seasons in the pros with the Packers, who selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft.
His second season in the league was his best with Green Bay, as he rushed for 803 yards and five touchdowns on 187 carries while also racking up a total of 313 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 34 catches and 37 targets. In 2024, he inked a qualifying offer with the Packers, but an offseason injury wiped out his chances of seeing action on the field in that year’s campaign.
Now that they’re in the same division, DIllon and Ekeler will get chances for what should be an epic jersey swap in the 2025 NFL season.
