Adam Stenavich couldn’t help but cringe at the Green Bay Packers’ Week 4 performance against the Minnesota Vikings, to which they lost 31-29 in Lambeau Field. According to the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator, he felt “sick to his stomach” after rewatching that game in preparation for Sunday afternoon.
“The first half, when you go back and look at that game, it makes you sick to your stomach at the lack of execution, the penalties, just the bad ball that we had on those first few drives,” Stenavich told the media via ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.
During Week 4, Minnesota outscored Green Bay 28-7 in the first half, as Sam Darnold threw three touchdown passes to Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Josh Oliver. Addison added another rushing touchdown for good measure.
The Green Bay Packers got within 31-29 in the fourth period on Dontayvion Wicks’ second touchdown, but they ultimately fell short as Josh Oliver recovered Daniel Whelan’s late onside kick.
Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love is not fully satisfied after shutout win vs. New Orleans Saints
Confidence is high in Green Bay after they obliterated New Orleans 34-0 last weekend. Jordan Love went 16-of-28 on his pass attempts 182 yards and one touchdown, while the team’s rushing unit generated three touchdowns.
However, despite their dominant performance, Love believes the Green Bay Packers can reach a higher gear, especially against the Minnesota Vikings come Sunday.
“I just think it’s little things that when we start being more consistent and dialing in on these things, the sky is the limit for the offense,” Love said during a recent presser.
