The 2023 NFL training camp for the Green Bay Packers has been ongoing for over a week. While the offense has shown some promising moments, they have yet to be able to outperform the defense in any competitive sessions, leading to the offense having to do extra exercises like up-downs and push-ups.
Although it is just a training camp and the teams are on the same side, the offensive players are tired of consistently losing to the defense. Jones is among those who have voiced their frustration.
Aaron Jones and other Green Bay Packers are fed up
Jones is a key leader on the offense, and his words carry weight with the younger players. However, he has reached his limit and is feeling frustrated.
“Its gonna change soon for the offense, were gonna win,” Jones told reporters. “I am getting sick of it, they are definitely letting us hear about it. Especially when its tine to do the up-downs or the push-ups- they’re right there. So you know as a competitor, you never like that and I make sure I’m right next to them so they can see me doing them.”
“And when the roles flip, I’m going to be right there counting for them.”
Nothing new
Fans should stay calm, as last year’s defense did not exceed expectations. However, upcoming training camp competitions will allow the team to develop and improve. The players already have a strong bond, likely to grow even stronger over time.
