Green Bay Packers fans witnessed some devastating scenes on Sunday night as they watched star running back Aaron Jones get carted off the field following a brutal injury against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The extent of the injury has yet to be determined with Jones set to undergo tests on Monday, but at this point, it’s not looking very good for the Pro Bowl RB.
Green Bay Packers Star Aaron Jones Speaks Out on Injury
Naturally, fans wanted to hear from Jones after the game to see where his head was at after that scary knock. The 28-year-old spoke to reporters following Green Bay’s 23-20 victory over the Chargers, and fortunately, there was a bit of a positive update from his end:
“I know it’s not my ACL, so we’re good there,” Jones said, via Kassidy Hill of PackersNews.com.
While there is still no official confirmation of the same, the fact that Jones himself has stated that it is not an ACL injury means that he could be back in action much sooner than initially anticipated. An ACL injury would have been brutal and it could have been a season-ending prblem for Jones.

Aaron Jones Keeping His Spirits Up
Even if Jones may have dodged a bullet here, it is still likely that he will need to spend considerable time on the sidelines as he recovers from this injury. Be that as it may, the former Texas-El Paso standout is keeping positive amid this latest roadblock in his career:
“Feeling best that I can after getting twisted up like that … but starting the recovery process, starting the healing process. I gotta get a MRI tomorrow and see how that goes,” Jones said.
Jones also revealed after the game that his teammates were quick to check up on him as soon as they could. The running back suffered the injury before halftime, and his teammates told him during the break that they were dedicating this win to him:
“When they came in at halftime, some of them came in at halftime to check on me,” Jones said. “Christian (Watson), D-Wyatt (Devonte Wyatt), a couple of guys, they were like ‘we’re gonna get this done, we’re gonna get this done for you.’ As soon as the game was over, they come find me like, ‘what did we tell you, what did we tell you.’”
Thankfully, the guys delivered on their promise.
