So far in this tournament, the stronger conferences have prevailed and the weaker conferences have not. This could be a case where Marquette, who is from the Big East, can impose their will against New Mexico, who is from the Mountain West.
Kam Jones will need to be the star in this game for the Golden Eagles. Stevie Mitchell, Chase Ross, and David Joplin will need to give him a hand with scoring the basketball. New Mexico head coach Richard Pitino is looking to pull off the 10 vs 7 upset, but Shaka Smart will have his team prepared ahead of the matchup. The Golden Eagles are the better team than the Lobos and their talent will prevail also.
