Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams can very well get traded away from the Las Vegas Raiders before next Tuesday’s October 31 NFL trade deadline. Adams is under contract for a few more seasons and is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
With the Las Vegas Raiders currently 3-4 on the year, they can very well be sellers, and there have been times this year that Davante Adams has expressed his unhappiness with the franchise. So far this season with the Raiders, he has caught 46 passes for 528 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Adams is averaging 11.5 yards per reception on the year.
One of the teams that can very well be linked to Adams is the San Francisco 49ers. They dropped to 5-2 on the year after a Monday night football loss on the road to the Minnesota Vikings 22-17. San Francisco did not have Deebo Samuel due to injury, and he has had a history of injuries. Brandon Aiyuk is their primary target after that, and Jauan Jennings is the third receiving option, along with George Kittle at the tight end position.
A source who spoke to NFL Analysis Network believes the 49ers would make a push to acquire him. The source said:
“If the Raiders do make Davante Adams available for trade, there will be a long list of teams with interest. However, I believe that John Lynch and the 49ers would do everything they can to push their way to the front.”
Other than the San Francisco 49ers, some of the other teams that could acquire him are the Baltimore Ravens, the Buffalo Bills, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Former Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Davante Adams Potentially Being Traded to the San Francisco 49ers is Somewhere Aaron Rodgers wishes he played
If Adams were traded to the 49ers, it would be interesting to see what former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would have to say about that. Rodgers is from Chico, California, and was a San Francisco 49ers fan growing up. There is also the story of him being passed up on in the 2005 NFL Draft in favor of quarterback Alex Smith out of Utah.
It would also make sense for Davante Adams to go to the San Francisco 49ers via trade because he is from Redwood City, California. It is about a 39-minute drive from each other. Adams would be heading back home. He would be in a much better situation with Kyle Shanahan as his head coach and Brock Purdy as his quarterback compared to injury-riddled Jimmy Garoppolo as his quarterback and Josh McDaniels as his head coach.
Adams is 30 years old and has not won a Super Bowl in his career. Davante Adams would love to go back home and play for the San Francisco 49ers.
