Jaylin Galloway’s time with the Milwaukee Bucks barely registered, but the former two-way wing has since kept his career alive overseas. Now playing internationally, Galloway remains determined to use the experience as a springboard for an eventual return to the NBA.

Fresh off an impressive showing at the recent Asia Cup, Jaylin Galloway opened up about his journey back on track. “It was a tough little rough patch for me, but it’s been good to come back and get my mind right,” Galloway remarked. [Brian Goorjian] has been helping me a lot, we’ve been working really hard in the off-season. So, the next step is getting back to the NBA.”

Galloway joined the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024 on a two-way deal, but he never suited up for the franchise. Instead, he spent the season with the Wisconsin Herd in the G League, where he displayed occasional flashes yet struggled to secure a long-term spot.

Across seven games, he posted averages of 4.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. The stat that jumped out was his 1.3 blocks per game, showing how he used his athleticism to disrupt opponents on defense.

Though it came in a small sample, it highlighted his ability to be a defensive presence. Still, that wasn’t enough to secure his place with the Bucks, and by August he had returned overseas to keep his career going while holding onto his goal of making it back to the NBA.

At only 22 years old, Galloway has already built an impressive overseas résumé. He captured back-to-back NBL titles in 2022 and 2023 and was recently named FIBA Asia Cup MVP. His game has clearly evolved since his stint with the Herd, and if he stays on track, there’s still plenty of untapped potential waiting to emerge.

A team taking a chance on Galloway, whether through a training camp invite or a two-way contract, would hardly come as a surprise after his Asia Cup run. In today’s NBA, athletic young wings are always in demand, and Galloway fits that profile.

Interestingly, he could slide right into the Milwaukee Bucks’ mix, as they still face questions at the wing position. Still, with their roster already packed, a reunion does not appear realistic.
