Ryans is expected to become the next head coach of the Texans, per multiple reports. After Watt posted the picture, NFL fans and analysts suggested Watt might be an assistant coach for the Texans next season. Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network asked on Twitter if Watt would be a defensive coordinator after his retirement from playing football.

Does Watt want to coach in the NFL?
According to Donnie Druin with Sports Illustrated, JJ Watt has made comments recently about a future in coaching. He seemed clear at the time that he wanted to coach at a lower level than in the NFL:
“If there’s a role where you can coach but not do any of the other bullshit, yeah. Sign me up. And (if) they pay you a lot, that’d be great. Wherever that job is, I’ll take it. I love the act of coaching at practice. I love teaching and coaching. I love putting on the film of practice and saying, ‘Hey, I think this is what we can do.’” said Watt…
It would appear from those comments his Tweet is more in support of his friend. But maybe JJ Watt could be persuaded to join the Texans’ staff.
