The Green Bay Packers sent shockwaves through the NFL on Thursday afternoon by acquiring edge rusher Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys via trade. If the move itself wasn’t dramatic enough, expert and fan consensus alike is universally that the Packers “fleeced” the Cowboys by only giving up two 1st-round picks and Kenny Clark in the deal.

Fans React to Green Bay Packers Adding Micah Parsons
It’d be hard to find a more hyped NFL fanbase in the league right now than the Green Bay Packers. They entered the day with a solid, playoff-caliber roster, but are ending it with one of the league’s best talents and the promise of Super Bowl contention.
Former NFL QB Robert Griffin III certainly feels the Packers are going to be in the mix at the top.
The Green Bay Packers trading for Micah Parsons makes them a bonafide Super Bowl Contender with a closer.

Even outside of the excitement of the mere addition of Parsons, the Packers are being praised online for their ability to land Parsons for cheap.
THIS FLEECE IS CRIMINAL https://t.co/MBoZjDGZ3s

Kenny Clark is a really good player. He was an awesome Packer.
Two 1sts and Clark is a deal you do with ease for Green Bay.

Couldn’t care less about cap space, contracts, draft picks. Plenty of time to worry about that in years to come.
One of the best talents the league has ever seen plays for the Green Bay Packers… in the prime of his career.
Supporting this team is a pleasure.

Green Bay will certainly miss Kenny Clark, who was a lifelong Packer. However, it won’t dampen the excitement of Parsons’ arrival.
Packers players are also extremely hyped for the deal, with players like Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed posting about the news shortly after it broke.

Dallas Cowboys Heavily Criticized For “Gifting” Green Bay Micah Parsons
Conversely, Dallas fans are once again going through it. It seems like nobody thinks highly of how Jerry Jones and company executed the deal.

Micah Parsons for Kenny Clark and 2 1sts is as Madden of of a trade as you’ll see lol

Former Cowboys QB Ben DiNucci couldn’t resist making some jokes on social media.
Dear Cowboys fans..
Have a fun year.

However, NFL expert Peter Schrager feels that many are being too harsh on Dallas. Schrager pointed to the money saved as another factor in the deal, especially given that Parsons was unlikely to play for them and had explicitly wanted out of Dallas.
Were Cowboys winning the Super Bowl this year? Did they win big with Micah Parsons? Jerry is rolling the dice because he didn’t want to pay Micah and because he can. Go ask other GMs if they’d take 2 1st rounders, Clark, and $47 m for guy…you’d be surprised how many say yes.

Meanwhile, Dez Bryant unleashed a fiery rant on Twitter as he tried to process the reality of the deal, firing off over a dozen posts in the aftermath of the trade.
I can’t believe what the fuck I just saw

One thing is for sure, Parsons will be missed in Dallas. Just ask former teammates Trevon Diggs and DeMarvion Overshown.
