The Miami Dolphins have a quarterback problem, and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones thinks that he knows the solution for the AFC East division team’s QB woes. With Tua Tagovailoa injured as well as his backup Skylar Thompson, the Fins were forced to start Tyler Huntley, who had just been added to the team.
Former Green Bay Packers star thinks the Dolphins should go for Rusell Wilson
After seeing the Dolphins struggling painfully on offense during a Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday, Jones, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said that Miami should consider going after Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson.
“The dolphins need to trade for DangeRussWilson ASAP!!!”
However, it must also be noted that Wilson isn’t healthy at the moment either. Wilson has even yet to make his debut for the Steelers, who have started Justin Fields in each of their first four games of the season. Wilson may be an upgrade over someone like Huntley, but his health remains a big question mark. Then again, the Dolphins may be at a point where they need to take risks before things get out of control. Miami is on a three-game losing streak, during which they have put up just 25 points in total.
The Packers also dealt with an injury to their Week 1 starter this season, with Jordan Love missing two games due to a knee issue. But Green Bay has managed to stay afloat with Malik Willis under center in both Week 2 and 3 before Love returned to action in last Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
