The Green Bay Packers have improved to 9-3 on the season with a 30-16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers were great on both sides of the ball in yesterday’s game. The Eagles stormed back late in the game, but the Packers were able to hold them off.
Offense Big Three Has Big Day
Aaron Rodgers threw his 400th career passing touchdown in the win against the Eagles. Rodgers went 25-34 with 295 yards and three touchdowns. Adams had ten receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Jones had 15 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown. The Packers put up 30 points again this week continuing the offense’s season-long hot-streak.
Defense Steps Up
The whole defense played well yesterday. The pass rush, the secondary, and even the defensive tackling were pretty good yesterday against one of the best running backs in the league. Green Bay’s defense has played very well the past two weeks which could lead to a deep playoff run and maybe a Super Bowl if they keep this up.
Bad Day for Special Teams
The Packers special teams has been an issue all season and was very bad yesterday. Mason Crosby missed an extra point yesterday and the Packers allowed a punt return which let the Eagles back in the game. The special teams need to improve as the playoffs get closer and closer.
What’s Next
The Packers after their impressive 30-16 win yesterday, now travel to Detroit to take on the Lions next Sunday at 3:25 pm on Fox. The Packers beat The Lions 42-21 early in the season.
