Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff did not practice on Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers because of an ankle injury. There was good news for the Lions on Thursday ahead of Sunday.
Goff was a full participant in practice on Thursday with an ankle injury and he should be good to go on Sunday against the Packers. The Detroit Lions this season are 6-1 and the Green Bay Packers are 6-2 this season.
Detroit Lions Jared Goff Stats Ahead Of the Green Bay Packers Matchup
Goff has had a great start to the 2024 season for the Lions. This season, he has completed 74.1% of his passes for 1,695 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Goff has been slinging the football all over the place and the offense has been very efficient.
The Green Bay Packers defense will need to try to make life uncomfortable for him this weekend. It feels like this Lions offense hasn’t been tested all season long, but their run game and offensive line will make things easy for Jared Goff to succeed.
Jordan Love Is Also On the Injury Report
To go along with the Goff injury news, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is also on the injury report entering this weekend’s matchup. Love was limited in practice on Thursday with a groin injury. It will be interesting to see how much he will practice on Friday.
If Love was not able to play this weekend against the Lions, Malik Willis would make his third start this season for the Packers. There should be no worries about Goff’s ankle moving forward, but Love’s groin will also be a bigger story on Friday’s injury report.
