In a massive blockbuster trade, the Milwaukee Bucks are acquiring seven-time all-star Damian Lillard in exchange for Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen, and others in a three-team trade deal.
Grayson Allen to the Phoenix Suns
As part of the trade, Milwaukee has parted ways with Greyson Allen and he is on his way to the Phoenix Suns. This isn’t a huge surprise to Bucks fans, as Allen has been in trade discussions for a little while now.

What it Means for the Milwaukee Bucks & Suns
For Milwaukee, this trade hugely benefits them. They landed Damian Lillard, a player many Bucks fans would be a dream that would never come true.
Losing Grayson Allen isn’t a huge blow to the lineup, but the Phoenix Suns aren’t gaining some blockbuster player in this trade, though he does add value to their roster. However, with names like Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal on the Suns’ roster, Allen may just have to settle for a bench role.
Allen’s been productive for the Bucks in his tenure with the team and has provided a strong offensive production, but his inconsistency with defense hinders his ability as a player, even when he was playing a big role in Milwaukee’s starting lineup.
The good news for Allen however, is that he’s going to one of the best teams in the West and will possibly have another opportunity to make a playoffs run.
Grayson Allen started in 70 games last season, averaging 10.4 points per game while hitting an abysmal 40% of his three-point attempts. He had the lowest defensive rating among the Bucks with 114, which might be something the Suns should take caution in.
