The win-loss record in the Spring Training does not matter that much to teams but the Milwaukee Brewers have so much to invest in that period. They are most especially invested on the readiness of Christian Yelich who had to cut short his 2024 season due to back injury.

The 2018 National League MVP participated in the spring training as part of his recovery program. He played in their last game against the Colorado Rockies where he had a .353 batting average.
He also had one home run on two at-bats.
The numbers look good but how about his health? Hear it from Yelich himself.
“I was pretty rusty at first which is completely expected of me,” the 33-year-old left fielder said.

“I didn’t really have any surprises there. I hadn’t played in a long time. Getting back out there and getting into the swing of things was nice, knocking some of the rust off, getting back into a playing routine.”
Can Christian Yelich go back to top form?
Yelich saw his 2025 season in August, right when he was playing well for the Brewers who reached the Wildcard round that time.
Critics were even raving about him, with some saying he is back in his MVP form in 2018. His batting average from 2024 is at .315. He also had 11 home runs and 42 RBIs at that time.

Can he replicate or do better this season? That will depend on his health status.
Fans has less to worry though as Yelich himself does not expect restriction for the new season.
“I’d like to be out there as much as possible,” Yelich said. “Whatever that looks like, whether it’s playing the field, whether it’s DHing. I don’t really think I’ll have any restrictions, or at least we haven’t talked about that.”
