Brandon Woodruff’s availability for the Milwaukee Brewers at the start of the 2025 season remains unsure but as early as now, analysts predict him to have one of his best season in his long career.
The 31-year-old right-hand pitcher, still recovering from right shoulder surgery, is projected to come back stronger by a MLB website dedicated in analyzing players’ individual statistics.
According to the site, Woodruff will pitch for a total of 157 innings. He is also predicted to record a 3.79 ERA. His groundball rate will be at 42.8 percent and Fielding Independent Pitching at 3.19 percent.
These numbers are solid comparing to his past seasons. His career high for innings was in 2021 when he made the All-Star. During this season, he pitched 179.1 innings.
He also had a career-high in strikeouts (211), ERA (2.56), WHIP (0.96), and opponent batting average (.200) on that year.
His brilliance helped the team reach the NL Central Division.
Brandon Woodruff’s injury recovery
Woodruff, who joined the team in 2017 and has been to two All-Stars, will join a team predicted to go a long way this new season.
But first things first, he needs to get healthy soon.
The player himself provided the latest update on his recovery. He said he is doing his best to be available for the Brewers in the soonest possible time.
“I honestly can’t answer that question, but I can tell you my mindset is to get ready for that,” he said back in second week of January.
“I’m preparing to go and pitch, whether that’s in New York [the site ofMilwaukee’s opening series against the Yankees], whether I’m on the back end of the rotation, who knows?
He is regularly throwing and should 30 pitch mark by this month.
