On Thursday, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love practiced in limited fashion as he was dealing with a groin injury. He did not practice on Wednesday because of it.
On Friday, Jordan Love was at practice once for the second straight day ahead of the Detroit Lions matchup, according to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman. This should be a good sign for the Packers heading into Sunday’s game.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Malik Willis Finished the Game On Sunday For Jordan Love
When Love injured his groin on Sunday against the Jaguars, Malik Willis came into the game and finished the job. Many thought that were was a chance that the Packers were just going to maybe hold out Love after the bye week, but it doesn’t look like it is going to be the case.
The Detroit Lions are 6-1 this season and the Green Bay Packers are 6-2 this season. The winner of this game will go into first place in the NFC North. It is good news that Love appears to be trending to play on Sunday, but there are other Packers who are on the wrong side of the injury report.
Three Players Were DNP On Friday In Practice
There were three players on Friday at Packers practice who did not practice. Jaire Alexander, Evan Williams, and Josh Myers were all not practicing for the third straight game. All three players may be ruled out this weekend against the Detroit Lions.
It is not good that Alexander and Williams are going to be potentially out against an elite Lions offense. This is a game where Love may have to play a superhero, although that is something the Packers coaches do not want to do.
