One pitch can be the difference maker in a game. Adrian Houser quickly learned after Eddie Rosario’s grand slam put the Twins up by four. That was all Minnesota needed in a 4-2 win against the Brewers. Tonight’s matchup is Josh Lindblom for the Brewers and Tyler Clippard for the Twins.
Initial Out-Getter
Twins’ manager, Rocco Baldelli, is relying on his bullpen for tonight’s game. Veteran right-hander Tyler Clippard will start tonight’s game. This will be his second start of the season due to the absence of Homer Bailey. Clippard’s last start was August 2 when he threw two perfect innings. Long reliever, Devin Smeltzer, piggybacked off Clippard so let’s see if Baldelli will go that route again. Clippard last pitched out of the bullpen on August 9. So far on the season, Clippard has a 1.17 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP.
Lindblom’s first start at home
In his last start, against the White Sox, Josh Lindblom recorded his first win in the Majors since 2013. His five-inning start concluded with seven strikeouts. After seeing him pitch twice now, he has shown his full arsenal of pitches.

Ready to see it all in action? Lindblom has nasty stuff. Here’s an example from his last start versus the Chicago White Sox.
