New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is already tired of hearing the same questions about Aaron Rodgers from the media.
During an interview with the reporters following his introductory press conference, Glenn wasn’t thrilled when he was constantly asked about the New York Jets’ quarterback situation.
“If you are going to continue to ask me the same question, I’m gonna give you the same answer,” Glenn quipped via Ari Meirov on X (formerly known as Twitter). “We’re still in evaluation mode. So if anybody else is going to ask that, I’m going to give you the same answer. So don’t waste your time. We clear?”
The reporter who asked about Aaron Rodgers tried to rephrase his question to see whether Glenn could offer more insight, but the New York Jets head coach didn’t take the bait.
“What do you look for in a quarterback? What is an Aaron Glenn quarterback?” asked the reporter.
“A winner,” replied Glenn. Mental and physical toughness. You’re not gonna get me.”
Aaron Glenn is “open” to work with Aaron Rodgers, claims NFL insider
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network recently said that Aaron Glenn is expected to talk to Aaron Rodgers ahead of the New York Jets 2025 campaign, even if retirement remains a possibility for the 41-year-old quarterback.
“Aaron Glenn, to my understanding, is open to it,” Rapoport said last weekend. “Rodgers as well. Expect those conversations to ramp up in the coming weeks.”
Aaron Rodgers still has one year left on his current deal with the New York Jets. The former four-time NFL MVP carries a $23.5 million cap hit, per Spotrac.
