Videos and photos of Giannis Antetokounmpo practicing free throws after a game have been common in recent weeks, especially after the “incident” in Philadelphia earlier this season.
That practice seems to be working.
Giannis makes 93.8% of free throws in win over Wizards
In Tuesday’s night win over the Wizards, where Giannis scored 55 points, he was 15-for-16 from the free throw line, 93.8%. That was the highest free throw percentage for Giannis from the free throw line this season. He now has five games this season where he shot 80% or higher in a game from the free throw line.
Giannis has game with 60% FG and 90% FT
In addition to shooting 93.8% from the line, Giannis was 20-for-33 from the field, 60.6%. It was the second game this season where he shot over 60% from the field and 90% from the free throw line.
It was the eighth career game where Giannis had 60% from the field and 90% from the line in the same game. Those eight games ties him with Ricky Pierce for the second-most career games with 60% from the field and 90% from the free throw line for the Bucks. Sidney Moncrief had 10 games with those stats, most in Bucks’ history.
Here are the Bucks’ players who had multiple games in their careers with 60% from the field and 90% from the free throw line (minimum of 10 FG attempts and 10 free throw attempts in the game to qualify).
