Wisconsin football has just lost another Locke. Not long after quarterback Braedyn Locke’s decision to leave Madison via the transfer portal, his brother, Landyn Locke, also decided to withdraw his commitment from the Badgers.
“I have decommitted and am no longer signed to the University of Wisconsin,” Landyn announced on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter). “I am thankful for the opportunity but my recruitment is 100% open,” added Landyn.
The three-star Class of 2025 quarterback, who suffered a torn ACL injury last September, initially signed with Wisconsin football on Dec. 4 but apparently had a change of heart following his brother’s move to decommit from the Badgers.
For what it’s worth, Braedyn has yet to find a landing spot after his transfer portal move. It will be interesting to see where the Locke brothers would sign next or if they could end up being on the same program again.
Wisconsin football has a total of 17 outgoing transfers at the moment, per 247Sports, which also includes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.
