The Wisconsin football staff has already begun their work on the 2027 recruiting class, which recently resulted in a scholarship offer for one recruit.
Braylon Williams, a 2027 linebacker from Arlington, Texas, has become a top recruiting target for the Wisconsin football staff in the 2027 class. Williams is a dynamic and violent player on the football field, covering plenty of ground and delivering massive hits to opposing players. Recently, Williams broke down the offer and the teams that have been pushing the hardest.
Wisconsin Football Eyeing 2027 Recruit, Dynamic Linebacker Braylon Williams
After scouting out certain states to prepare for the 2027 recruiting class, the Wisconsin football staff extended a handful of scholarship offers. Among the offers extended was one that went to a Texas linebacker named Braylon Williams who has quickly become a fast-rising prospect in the class. While Williams holds a handful of scholarship offers, he has also drawn attention from nearly every school in the Big 12 Conference on different levels.
Williams currently holds nine scholarship offers and received much of his attention following an excellent season on the field. During his first season as a starting middle linebacker, Williams recorded 89 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, one sack, and three pass breakups. The linebacker quickly proved he not only can succeed in coverage, but he also has the speed, vision, and shedding ability to hit running backs in the backfield.
Who Has Been Interested in Williams Early On During His Recruitment?
Currently Williams holds nine scholarship offers with some larger power conference programs in contact as well. Williams holds offers from Arkansas, Ohio State, Baylor, Nebraska, Colorado, and the Wisconsin football program among others.
Two programs that have extended scholarship offers and kept close contact with Williams early on have been Southern Methodist University and Baylor. Both schools have expressed heavy interest in Williams and feel the linebacker could become a starter once he steps foot onto campus. The Buckeyes, Cornhuskers, and Buffaloes have all also been in contact, but so far have just been sending mail and exchanging texts with the recruit.
What Does the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff See In Williams?
For the Wisconsin football staff, Williams offers not only versatility as a linebacker with speed and power, but also a great knowledge of the game. The recruit likes to consider himself a student of the game and consistently learns more about his position to improve his play on the field.
Physically, football has come easily for Williams who walks around at 6-feet, 210-pounds with an incredible burst of speed as well. Williams already has the physical tools to dominate at his position but will only continue to get bigger as he is still growing. With more mass on his frame, the linebacker would be a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball.
