Wisconsin Badgers wide receivers coach Jordan Reid and Tayshon Bardo played some video games back in January, as opponents, with the high school stud coming out on top.

The two played Madden and Bardo even rubbed it in on the coach after beating him.
“POV: you had a in home visit with Wisconsin and 40 balled they receiver coach in ncaa,” he wrote in the caption of his Tiktok post.
They were on different sides on that video game but by 2026, they will be playing on the same side for Wisconsin Badgers football.
Bardo, who hails from Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana, was approached in January and made an official visit to the University of Wisconsin-Madison on February 8.
He announced his commitment to Badgers on X.

Wisconsin Badgers completed the job on Bardo
Jordan Reid’s strategy to get Bardo to play for Wisconsin turned heads a few months as many thought it was unprecedented and out of ordinary.
He personally visited the home of the 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver and three-star prospect, putting a personal touch in making the players feel they are wanted. After all, Bardo is the no. 1 wide receiver in his state.
Badgers eying him faced stiff competition.

Bardo was also a target for Michigan State Spartans, University of South Florida Bulls, Ball State University Cardinals, and Bowling Green Falcons.
He joins Benjamin Novak as the second player to commit to the Wisconsin Badgers for Class of 2026. Novak also hails from Indiana, playing for Andrean High School in Merrillville.
