The Badgers started off the evening against Marquette with a back and forth battle in the first set. Sarah Franklin stepped up to hammer home her 1,000th kill to make the score 25-24 and set up a dramatic ending to the first set that would see the Badgers taking it home.
Sarah Franklin transferred from Michigan State following the 2021 school year. Since then, she’s gone on to record 3.51 kills per set in 2022, and this year holds 3.96 kills per set, which is good for 5th best in the Big Ten Conference.
