It’s been a busy off-season for Wisconsin Badgers volleyball as they have been working on constructing another competitive roster following the departure of several key players. Recently, they capitalized on landing a 6’3″ outside hitter from Oregon in the transfer portal, in which said player left immediately following her coach’s departure.
Key Wisconsin Badgers volleyball departures
Players that left the Badgers from last season due to graduation includes Sarah Franklin, Devyn Robinson, Anna Smrek, CC Crawford, Julia Orzol, and Carly Anderson. Additionally, Gulce Guctekin and Saige Dammrow elected to enter the transfer portal and have since committed to playing elsewhere.
Former Oregon star Mimi Colyer has transferred to the Wisconsin Badgers
6’3″ outside hitter Mimi Colyer has elected to transfer to UW-Madison. This news was announced shortly following Oregon’s coach Matt Ulmer announcing that he was leaving to take a head coach position at Kansas. Colyer will join the Badgers with one season of eligibility remaining.

Mimi Colyer statistics and highlights
Colyer is a reigning 2022 Freshman of the Year and a two time All-American. Last year she averaged 3.97 kills per set and 2.19 digs per set. She additionally had 457 kills last year and finished 38th in the nation in points scored.
Colyer will join transfer outside hitter Grace Egan and incoming freshman Madison Quest as top candidates to see significant playing time for the Badgers in 2025.
