The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team has started to make some waves in the recruiting realm. While much has been said of Luke Fickell and his efforts for the football side of the Badgers, Coach Kelly Sheffield hasn’t been resting in trying to jump start a team that is heavy on upper classmen. The Badgers got the ball rolling for the recruiting class of 2025 with the verbal commitment of Madison Quest.
I am SO EXCITED to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Wisconsin to further my academic and volleyball career!! Go Badgers ❤️🤍 @BadgerVB pic.twitter.com/F2hUAF4EiI

A Legacy with the Wisconsin Badgers
Madison Quest comes from a family with a rich history in Wisconsin athletics. Her mother, Pauline Bresky, was a volleyball player for the University of Wisconsin from 1995-1998. Meanwhile, her father, Matt Quest, had his own involvement in Wisconsin Badgers sports as a walk-on for the UW men’s basketball team. In the 1996-1997 season Matt Quest had the opportunity to showcase his skills in 10 games.
While Quest’s basement is decorated with plenty of Badgers memorabilia, she wasn’t always set on becoming a Badger. In fact, she fielded conversations with the coaches of Louisville, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, and San Diego. As soon as the coaches were allowed to talk to the 2025 recruits, she decided to commit to the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team.
A Volleyball Pedigree
Madison Quest is the top prospect in Wisconsin. She’s a 6 foot 3 outside hitter that hails from Pewaukee. Quest made a significant impact on her high school team, Divine Savior Holy Angels, in Milwaukee this past season. During her remarkable run, Quest showcased her skills on the court averaging 4.2 kills and 2.5 digs per set last year while leading her team to the WIAA Division 1 state championship.
In the thrilling five-set final against Oconomowoc, she recorded an impressive 25 kills, including the match-clinching point in a thrilling 15-13 fifth-set victory. Outside of high school, Quest is also a member of the club team Milwaukee Sting, further honing her volleyball abilities and competing at a high level.
After the end of their foreign tour, and the beginning of the recruitment window beginning for 2025, it’s great to see the Badgers working to build a pipeline to keep their status as one of the top programs in the country.
